| Description: | This course takes a detailed look at issues surrounding the assessment and implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with an emphasis on client-centred, collaborative team working. This course is accredited for 20 Credit Accumulation Transfer (CAT) points. A further 20 CAT points are available by pursuing an independent study.The AAC Unit is a blended learning course involving a mixture of self- directed study and attendance at four face-to-face study days at the ACE entre. Comprehensive resources to assist with study are supplied. This is one of a suite of courses offered by the ACE Centre, enabling participants to work towards a range of postgraduate (certificate, diploma and masters) and undergraduate qualifications.
